At this level you will learn the basics of equestrian sports, such as approaching your horse correctly, the correct position in the saddle and safe riding. Safety and building trust are central to this.

2.     Club Level: Your First Matches
Now that you have mastered the basics, you will continue training and begin competing in local and regional competitions. This is the perfect opportunity to improve your technique and gain experience in a competitive environment.

3.     Competition level: National and international competition
At competition level you compete in bigger competitions, both nationally and internationally. Here the competition becomes more serious and you have to develop your technique and be able to perform under pressure.

4.     Top level: The elite of equestrian sport
This is the highest level, where the best riders from all over the world compete in prestigious events such as the Olympic Games and World Championships.

The different disciplines

Whether you like speed, precision or endurance, equestrian sports always have a discipline that suits you. These are the most important disciplines in equestrian sports:

·       Dressage : Dressage is about technique, control and finesse. It is a partnership between rider and horse, performing impressive exercises together. The assessment focuses on precision, posture and the balance between the two. It requires patience and focus

·       Show jumping : Show jumping is perhaps the most spectacular discipline in equestrian sport. Rider and horse must overcome various obstacles in a fast course. It is all about speed, strength and technique. The winner is the one who completes the course the fastest and without mistakes, which makes for exciting competitions!

·       Eventing : Eventing is a versatile and intensive discipline that combines three disciplines: dressage, jumping and cross-country. It is a test of endurance, speed and agility. Rider and horse must work together in a variety of environments, from precision exercise in the ring to navigating challenging outdoor conditions.

·       Western Riding : Inspired by cowboy culture, western riding offers a completely different experience. It’s not about speed, but about teamwork and control of your horse. Riders use techniques derived from the work of cowboys in the American West, with an emphasis on communication and efficiency.

·       Reining : Reining is a discipline within western riding, in which the horse performs patterns and maneuvers, such as spins, quick stops and turns. It requires precision and complete control over your horse. It is a visually impressive and technically challenging discipline in which every movement counts.

Whatever discipline you choose, equestrian sports offer everyone a way to develop their passion and talent!
